My Perfect Morning!
The morning changes life completely. It works for me, why not for you!
The Perfect Morning Routine!
I have been reading about productivity and how I can use my time properly. After coming to South Korea, everything has changed. When I was in Bangladesh, I only had one thing to do: maintain my studies. But now, as an international student, I have to manage everything from waking up to going to bed, including studying, working, learning new skills, and working on projects.
I found it very difficult when I first came here, but now I have become a master of it, and everything is going well.
Today I am going to talk about my morning routine and gradually I will share. All things how I manage my time, projects and what skills I am learning.
Wake Up time
All the tactics I found from the book called Tools of Titians by Tim Ferriss. I am a huge fan of the guy anyway.
I try to wake up very early in the morning, it’s around 4:00-06:00. I cannot wake up exact time every day but it’s around what I mention.
First Win!
The first thing I do is make my bed, brush my teeth, and refresh—very simple tasks. If it is prayer time (as a Muslim), I pray, and then I also read some quotes from my religious scripture. Once all of this is done, I feel that it is the first win of the day.
Don’t GO!
I used to make the mistake of waking up and going straight to Facebook. As a result, I lost my momentum. But I came to realize that I should not do that at all. I don't use my phone or computer for at least 45-30 minutes after waking up.
So, what do I do in those 45 minutes? Ok, let's go through it.
The Plan for the day.
I have become a bit more health conscious. I take care of my health with small steps, such as not having soft drinks and junk food.
I make a cup of green tea and sometimes coffee, then sit down with a pen and paper.
I write down 2-3 tasks that are anxious or uncomfortable, and no more. Then, I start completing my tasks according to priority. Finish? No.
Asking Myself
For each item I write, I ask myself, if this were the only thing I accomplish today, would I be satisfied with the day?
Then, I look for the only item I have answered “Yes” to for at least one of these questions.
Block Out Time
I block out at least 2-3 hours to focus on one of them for today. You don't need to work more. However, let the rest of the urgent but less important stuff slide. It will still be there tomorrow.
After To-do list
After making my to-do list for the day, I also start generating business ideas. I won't necessarily start all the businesses I plan; I just write down 10 business ideas and the first step to get started. No matter how bad my ideas are!
The main purpose is to push my brain to generate ideas, not to execute them. However, by writing down ideas, you might find better ones day by day. One day, you might start!
I also have a plan that after writing down my ideas for 1 year or more, I will definitely find good ideas as my brain matures. Then, I will pick the top ideas I come up with and try to execute them.
Get inspired
I also feed my mind by looking at powerful quotes I read every day. Sometimes, I even make them my phone wallpaper to receive the message frequently.
Today I have:
If you let your learning lead to knowledge, you become a fool. If you let your learning lead to action, you become wealthy.
Something you need to stop doing things you love in order to nurture the one thing matters most.
Get done
I focus on completing the task and dedicate uninterrupted time to it. I avoid phone calls and social media. If I get distracted or start procrastinating, I don’t panic or spiral downward. Instead, I gently redirect myself back to my one to-do task.
Today all are done! You’re beauty!
